Meet Our Coaching Staff
Lojo Baseball has landed Jamodrick McGruder as Head Coach and Director of Lojo Baseball!
Jamodrick McGruder’s trajectory from a decorated collegiate player to a professional athlete led him on a straight path to being a dedicated youth coach and leader. Jamodrick is known as one of Texas Tech’s most prolific base stealers and elite hitters in the Big 12 Conference. Named All-Big 12 First Team and Freshman All-American, Jamodrick was also a semifinalist for the prestigious Dick Howser Trophy.
McGruder was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 9th round in 2012, allowing him to play professionally across multiple organizations. Channeling his experience as an athlete into developing the next generation of exceptional baseball players and men is Jamodrick’s passion. “Coach J” as his players affectionately call him, makes his home in Mesquite, TX with Jill and their two young children, Camille (2) and Jamille (1).

Jacob Cannon is the latest and greatest to join Lojo Baseball!
Jacob Cannon can’t remember a time in his life where baseball wasn’t a passion and priority. Jacob primarily supported his teams with his pitching skills throughout youth baseball and into high school. Jacob had plans to play for Kent State University before arm injuries took him out of the game. Plagued by these injuries, Jacob began setting his sights on becoming a private pitching instructor and team coach. For the past four years, Jacob has been developing young players at all skill levels, spreading the knowledge he gained from those who mentored him. Coach Cannon’s light-hearted nature makes him a favorite among his players. Coach Cannon resides in McKinney, Texas.
